Well Sweet Genuine Hombre’s first outing was a big success! World Champion trainer, Rick Chayer of Tulsa, Ok, showed him in Junior Heading and Heeling ( five years of age and under) at the Dixie Nationals. It was a three judge show and after taking 10th in Heading, which he’s done very little of, he came back in Heeling to capture 3rd overall earning 7 AQHA points. What makes this accomplishment amazing is that Hombre won’t even be a trure four years old til June and most of his 29 competitors were five year olds. Not bad for his first time out. Me and my brother, Mike, really like the way Rick is bringing him along. I’m really glad Jim Brinkman of The Pitzer Ranch recommended Rick to us. Hombre is really laid back and seems to be a natural in roping. Rick will continue to champaign Hombre for the World Show. Here’s some pics from Dixie’s, one of me and Hombre and the rest of him and Rick.
Also still waiting on our first foal of the year. Pep Ups Lady Lark should be first this month, followed by Romy, Noble Snata, Ima Sweet Exception, Conclusive Cinnamon, then Bitsty Boots. See the mare page for more info. Thanks for visiting, Tim
