posted on 11.25.2009Wow, do we ever have so much to be grateful for. The children are home Mary Collins and Conner are home from college and along with Miles, Laura, and I, we’re looking forward to a day with family.
We returned from the AQHA World show where Sweet Genuine Hombre competed in Heading and Heeling. Durning the week our trainer, Rick Chayer, had had to rush him to Okl City because he was colicing. Turned out good but it was a small miriacle that he even competed. We had bad luck on the catch on both ends, but again, I was just happy he made it. Thank you for a great, great year, to Rick Chayer. Looks like Hombre will end the year third in the nation in heading.
We’re also excited that we picked up two new broodmares from our friend and partner, Dan Chicola of Landlock Equine. Miss Money Power is by The Power To Impress out of a daughter of Mr Sonny Money. I love love her dams dam who is by Dandy Seeker, who I love as a broodmare sire. This mare is in foal to Dan’s World champion, CRS Golden Nugget, for a Feb 2010 foal. I’m really excited about this cross!
The other mare , Cajun Color, is a multiple halter producer by the great Color Me Skip, out of a daughter of Mr Celebrite by Te N’ Te. She is open and will be bred early to Carson.
