Happy New Year!
posted on 01.05.2009Happy New Year to all !!! 2008 was a really good year at Rainbow Farms. We sent a stallion to Ireland and two weanling to Mexico. Both international clients were looking for ranch prospects with show horse looks and great temperments which is exactly what we are raising.
In my last update I showed our new broodmare, Romy, from Twin Lakes Farms in Tyler, Texas. Below are pictures of Wayne Howsan working Romy’s bay daughter, Anklet, in the round pen. What a beautiful mare! We plan to start her under saddle. She already has her ROM in halter and would be a great prospect, someday, for performance halter classes.
Also pictured is Wayne working 2007 colt, Sweet Mister GQ, under saddle. He should be riding him starting next week. GQ is really smart and really tries to please. We think he is a “real deal” riding prospect and is beautiful with brains. We are now riding three of his dam’s, Ima Sweet Exceptions, offspring and they all have the same even temperments.
