Well we pulled Carson ( Western By Choice ) off the broodmares this week. Hopefully he has them all bred since we haven’t seen any come back in in over a month. This was Carson’s first year as our herd sire and I couldn’t be anymore pleased with him than I am. He was such a gentleman with the mares and was so kind with all the babies. His temperment is exactly what we want in a stallion, because if they don’t have it, they can’t pass it to their offspring. To many people today are breeding on looks alone and not looking for that great temperment that I look for in a stallion. Even though he’s just off the mares he’s already back to acting like a gelding. That is so important for the conformation type ranch horses we are raising. They have to have the “right” temperment period!
We will now put Carson back in training to fit him for the Palomino World Show in July. Well that all for now, look back often for updates and “news”….thanks for looking…..Tim
