Bitsy Boots foals!!!
posted on 04.17.2009Bitsy Boots our 1998 n/n chestnut mare by 7 x IBHA and ABHA World Champion, CL Buckley, out of a 3 x PHBA World Champion producing granddaughter of Sir Quincy Dan, had a stud colt this morning by Heza Bold Me Two.
Thank goodness I had the mare with Vicki and Mike McCullough to foal out cause the colt was nine days late and he was huge! Without Vicki and Mike there to help Bitsy I don’t know if the mare or baby would have made it. This is our sixth foal of the year and thanks to Vicki and Mike, we’re 100% on successful deliveries this year. I want to thank Vicki and Mike both for doing such a great job.
I’ve got a couple of pictures here of the new colt at about twelve hours old and he is going to be a really good colt. I want to thank Dan Chicola of Landlock Equine for suggesting this cross.
Six healthy babies and word that Sweet Genuine Hombre qualified for the World Show has made this a pretty special week.
We’re breeding nine mares to Carson this year, one to CRS Golden Nugget, and one to Mr Dun Promised for our 2010 foal crop.
