AQHA World Championship Show in Oklahoma City
posted on 12.09.2008Just back from the AQHA World Championship Show in Oklahoma City. As always I had a great time visiting with old and new friends and watching some really great quarter horses in competetion from halter to roping. I also got a chance to spend the day with Jim and Tana Brinkman, owners of the famous Pitzer Ranch. I’ve bought horses from them at their spring and fall sales for years but had not ever met them in person. What a great couple! You couldn’t meet two nicer people, more than willing to share their vast knowledge of breeding outstanding performance horses. I got to watch Jim in the heeling finals Friday night on a buckskin son of Two Eyed Red Buck.
The last image is Rick Chayer, the trainer from Tulsa who currently has our 3 year old stallion, Sweet Genuine Hombre, we bought from The Pitzer Ranch as a weanling. Rick was in the roping finals.
