Just back from the AQHA World Championship Show in Oklahoma City. As always I had a great time visiting with old and new friends and watching some really great quarter horses in competetion from halter to roping. I also got a chance to spend the day with Jim and Tana Brinkman, owners of the famous Pitzer Ranch. I’ve bought horses from them at their spring and fall sales for years but had not ever met them in person. What a great couple! You couldn’t meet two nicer people, more than willing to share their vast knowledge of breeding outstanding performance horses. I got to watch Jim in the heeling finals Friday night on a buckskin son of Two Eyed Red Buck.

We had a great weekend, weather wise, and got 75% finished with our third cutting on our 205 acres of bermuda hay. We filled orders for our clients on round bales and squares. If you’re in our area and want to get on our “hay list” for next year be sure to give Mike or me a call.

It was perfect weather this weekend so I got ot and took some pics of “the girls”. Their all looking very pregnant and I’m excited about foaling and breeding season. Western By Choice “Carson” should be a really good cross on this great group of mares.
